Bring in the New Year the
Scottish way in this five day break which allows you to
take in some of Scotland’s most famous sights; Gretna
Green, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park to
name but a few!
 
Day 1 – Board our modern, luxury
air-conditioned coach from your local departure
point. We
head North crossing the English/Scottish border,
stopping at the Old Blacksmith’s Shop Visitor Centre at
Gretna Green. Here you will
have a chance to sample some famous Scottish
whisky. We
then continue our journey to our Glasgow hotel, making
an early evening
arrival.
After dinner, enjoy an evening of
entertainment.
Day 2 – New Years Eve – We take a
leisurely drive to Stirling, dominated by its Castle
which overlooks the site of ‘Braveheart’ Sir William
Wallace’s greatest victory. A visit to the
Old Town, with its
winding streets leading to the Castle is a must. The day
is spent at leisure, perhaps visit the Castle, one of
Scotland’s grandest or
stroll around Stirling’s fine shopping
area.
In the evening, the New Year
celebrations commence at our hotel with a Hogmany Ball,
Piper, Celidh Band, Live Band and disco, all ensuring
that you welcome the New Year in with a
bang!
Day 3 – New Years Day – Day at leisure
to explore Glasgow, now
classed as one of the most Cosmopolitan destinations in
Europe. The city is home
to a first-class shopping area set against a backdrop of
outstanding Victorian architecture. There is plenty
for you to see and do here.
After the evening’s themed dinner,
enjoy another evening of
entertainment.
Day 4 – We take a leisurely drive
through the Trossachs National Park, stopping at the
town of Callander, a bustling
town situated on the banks of the River Teith, the town
boasts some fine coffee shops and traditional stores
along its main street . We then head to
Loch Lomond, the largest fresh water loch in the
UK. The area
surrounding the loch is renowned for its beauty and
tranquillity – be sure to remember your camera to
capture the stunning views! After returning to our
hotel, the evening’s entertainment will be a musical or
a quiz.
Day 5 – We leave our hotel after
breakfast and return to your local drop-off
point.

Day 1 - Board our modern, luxury
air-conditioned coach and travel to Dover where we board a P&O
ferry for an early afternoon crossing to Calais. Travel on the
European autoroute system through France,
Belgium, Holland and Germany into
Austria.
Day 2 – We arrive at our hotel in the
town of Landeck in the
scenic Tirol region in
the morning.
The rest of the day is spent at leisure. In the evening
we have arranged a traditional Austrian evening with
Tirolean music for you to enjoy.
Day 3 – After breakfast we travel through
the beautiful mountain scenery to Jenbach where you can
board a train for a ride on the narrow gauge “Zillertal
Railway” to the town of Mayrhofen. A camera is a
must for the train ride to capture the stunning scenery
of the Ziller Valley in the
winter. We
then return to our hotel where we have arranged a nine
pin bowling competition and decorating of the Christmas
tree with a host (optional).
Day 4 – Christmas Eve; After breakfast we
head to the superb city of Innsbruck, capital of the
Tirol. Perhaps have a
wander through Innsbruck’s charming old town with
its golden roof or visit the Hofburg Imperial Palace and the Ambras Castle. We return
to our hotel for dinner before a torchlit guided walk
through Landeck and a visit to midnight
mass.
Day 5 – Christmas Day; We spend the
morning at the chic resort of Seefeld located on a
plateau high above the Inn
Valley before
returning to our hotel for a traditional turkey
Christmas lunch, buffet dinner in the
evening.
Day 6 – Boxing Day: Today we have
arranged a surprise event for your enjoyment. The rest of the
day is spent at
leisure
Day 7 – We leave our hotel after
breakfast and commence the return
journey.
Day 8 – We make an early morning arrival at
Calais where we board a
P&O ferry for the short crossing to Dover. Return to your local drop-off point.
