Tossa
Tossa De Mar is a beautiful town
which as conserved its beauty within its enclosed walls
and typical streets of the old sea town that it
is.
The interesting tourist places
that Tossa offers are its lovely beaches and bays, the
enclosed old “Vila Vela”, La Vila Romana and the “Vila
Nova”. The enclosed area of the “Vila Vella” (the old
town) is the most beautiful part of Tossa, it is
situated on a headland which dominates the bay and
inside there are houses of the 15th century
which have been
restored.
In the “Vila Nova” (the new town),
One finds the church of the 18th century,
surrounded by the narrow streets and full of restaurants
and family run hotels, but also one finds there an
abundance of night
life.
The fiesta of San Pedro, Los
“Apiecs” in July and October and the painting
competition in August, together with other cultural
activities complete the summer folklore in
Tossa.
